Affectionately known as "Tia," is a trailblazing leader whose 33-year career in the United States Army has inspired thousands to lead with courage, compassion, and clarity.
A decorated veteran and one of the rare few to achieve the rank of Brigadier General — less than 1% of all military personnel - BG Young most recently served as Deputy Commanding General at Human Resources Command, where she oversaw a global organization and a multi-billion-dollar budget.
Today, she serves as the Founder & CEO of LT3 Leadership Solutions, specializing in leadership development, conflict management, and emotional intelligence assessments/training. A certified EQi 2.0, EQ 360, CSI and John Maxwell Leadership Coach, as well as a DISC Behavior Certified Trainer,
She is known for helping leaders and teams achieve breakthrough results through practical implementable strategies and heart-centered leadership.
She's also an accomplished Executive In Residence graduate-level professor at Bowie State University, Best-Selling author of Dare To Lead Differently...Chew on This ~ 16 Bites for Bold Leaders, co-author of the Award winning and best seller Destiny Exposè Vol 1, coauthor of the Peace Within that is also a best seller and recently co-authored, Her Pen, Her Peace. She is a recipient of Women of Heart Award 2025, Season of Service Award 2025, Halls of Fame Inductee – Claflin University and ROTC South Carolina State University, and Adjutant General Corps Distinguished Recipient.
Her leadership principles - P3+ Mentality and SID Law — have become a blueprint for leaders in government, education, and business.
BG Young's autobiography is preserved in the Library of Congress, and she has been honored with the FLUXX 2025 Lifetime Leadership-Empowerment Award and the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.
Her teachings go beyond theory - they are battle-tested principles that help people turn purpose into performance and leadership into legacy.
